Yamuna Expressway Authority Facilities to be given to farmers as a result of land acquisition.

Farmers affected by land acquisition under the Yamuna Expressway area

Yamuna Expressway Authority has adopted the Uttar Pradesh Agreement (Declaration of Compensation Determination and Award on the basis of consent) Rules, 1997, under which land acquisition is done on the basis of agreement after the full consent of the land owner. Apart from the compensation given on the basis of agreement after land acquisition, the following facilities are also provided by the Yamuna Authority to the farmers.

  1. The assessment amount is also paid separately for the assets available on the acquired land like tree, boring, construction of tube well etc.

  2. Developed area equivalent to 07 percent of the acquired area is allotted for future population. On whose 50 percent area, mixed (commercial, industrial etc.) land use has been permitted.

  3. Yamuna Authority gave 17.5 percent reservation to the farmers of the acquired land in the residential plot / commercial (kiosk and shop) schemes of the Yamuna authority.

  4. Under the Institutional Scheme of the Yamuna authority, reservation is given in admission at concessional rates to the children of the farmers or their dependents affected by land acquisition in the schools/colleges/institutions and the children of the employees working in the Yamuna authority.

  5. Farmers or their dependents affected by land acquisition under the Yamuna Expressway area are given preference in jobs on the basis of merit in the industrial units/institutions allotted by the Yamuna Authority.

  6. All the benefits of the rehabilitation and resettlement policy adopted by the Government of Uttar Pradesh are provided to the concerned farmers.

  7. In the villages where land is acquired by the Yamuna Expressway Authority, village development works such as drains, Khadanje, Sewer CC Road, Barat Ghar, Kisan Bhawan, Education Institute, etc. are carried out at its own expense.
